Description
The African American athlete on the bench is possibly the first African American to compete in a Generals uniform. In the 60's, most track meets were dual meets, meaning there were only two teams competing. The African American athlete on the bench has a uniform similar to the General whom the photo is focused on. The other athletes on the bench do not have the sash across their uniform. Unfortunately there is no team picture from this season of track and field.
